Colour-changing jelly lipsticks, sheer lip glosses, and moisturizing lip oils — formulas that nourish while they colour. Long-lasting, hydrating, and flattering across complexions.
Lip oil, gloss, or lipstick?
Lip oil is the most comfortable of the three. It delivers sheer colour with genuine conditioning ingredients and is the right choice if your lips are dry or if matte formulas feel tight. Our glossy hydrating lip oil gives shine without the stickiness of a traditional gloss.
Gloss is about shine and dimension. Modern formulas are far less tacky than they used to be, but they still transfer.
Jelly lipstick sits between the two — more colour payoff than a gloss, more comfort than a matte. Our starry shimmer jelly lipstick adds a light shimmer finish.
How colour-changing lipstick works
pH-reactive lipsticks look alarming in the tube — usually bright green or blue — and then shift to a pink or berry tone on contact with the moisture and pH of your lips. The resulting shade is genuinely slightly different on everyone, which is the appeal.
Our pH colour-changing jelly lipstick develops over about a minute. Judge the shade after it settles, not on first application. The intensity depends on your natural lip pH, so it will read deeper on some people than others.
Prep, because it shows
Lip colour magnifies dry, flaking skin more than any other makeup. Gently exfoliate with a damp cloth, then apply a balm and let it absorb for a few minutes before colour. Skipping this is why lipstick clings in patches.
For long wear, apply a thin layer, blot, then apply a second. Two thin layers outlast one thick one and are far less likely to feather.
Pair with face makeup and eye makeup, or browse all makeup. For chronically dry lips, personal care has richer balms.
Frequently asked questions
Does colour-changing lipstick look the same on everyone?
No — that is the point. The shade develops based on the moisture and pH of your lips, so the same tube reads slightly differently person to person. Give it a minute to settle before judging.
Is lip oil better than lip balm?
They do different jobs. Balm is purely treatment; lip oil conditions while adding sheer colour and shine. For badly chapped lips, use balm first and add lip oil once they have recovered.
How do I stop lipstick feathering?
Apply thin layers and blot between them. Feathering is usually too much product at once, or applying over an oily balm that has not absorbed.
Why does lipstick cling to dry patches?
Because the patches are there. Exfoliate gently with a damp cloth and apply balm several minutes before colour.
Are jelly lipsticks moisturizing?
More than matte formulas, yes. They contain conditioning ingredients and a cushioned texture, though a dedicated balm or lip oil is still more hydrating.
