Deep-conditioning hair masks and treatment creams for dry, damaged, and colour-treated hair. Rich formulas with batana, collagen, and nourishing botanicals that restore softness, strength, and shine from root to tip.
Mask or conditioner — what is the difference?
Conditioner is a rinse-out step that smooths the cuticle in a minute or two. A mask is a concentrated treatment with a higher proportion of conditioning agents, designed to sit for 10 to 20 minutes so it can do more than surface work. They are not interchangeable, and using conditioner for longer does not turn it into a mask.
If your hair feels rough at the ends, snaps when you brush it, or looks dull no matter how you style it, a weekly mask will do more than switching shampoo.
Choosing by damage type
Dryness — needs moisture and lipids. Our batana deep conditioning mask pairs the oleic-rich oil with a rich cream base.
Colour-treated or chemically processed — needs pH balance as well as moisture. Our pH balancing hair mask helps close the cuticle after processing has left it raised.
One honest caveat: a mask improves how damaged hair looks and feels, but it cannot repair a split end. Once the shaft has split, the only real fix is cutting it. Masks slow further damage and make what you have look considerably better.
Getting more from a mask
Apply to clean, towel-dried hair — soaking wet hair dilutes it and it slides straight off. Concentrate on mid-lengths and ends, where damage actually is, and keep it off the scalp unless the product says otherwise.
Warmth helps. Cover with a cap or warm towel; the mild heat lifts the cuticle slightly so the treatment penetrates further. Rinse with cool water at the end to close it back down.
Once a week for most hair, twice for very dry or coarse. More often can leave hair limp. Follow with a hair oil on the ends, and see all hair care or our complete hair routine.
Frequently asked questions
How long should I leave a hair mask on?
10 to 20 minutes for most masks. Leaving it overnight rarely adds benefit and can leave fine hair limp. Follow the product instructions rather than assuming longer is better.
Can a hair mask repair split ends?
No. It improves how they look and feel and helps prevent further splitting, but a split shaft can only be fixed by cutting it.
Should I apply a mask to wet or damp hair?
Towel-dried damp hair. Soaking wet hair dilutes the product and it slides off before it can work.
Do I still need conditioner if I use a mask?
On mask days you can skip it. On other wash days use conditioner as usual — they do different jobs at different intensities.
How often should I use a hair mask?
Once a week for most hair; twice for very dry, coarse or colour-treated hair. Fine hair may prefer every other week.
