Collection: Acne Care

Targeted blemish treatments, clarifying patches, and acne-fighting formulas. Formulated to visibly reduce the appearance of breakouts and support clearer-looking skin — without over-stripping or drying out.

Why hydrocolloid patches work

Hydrocolloid is a wound-dressing material. Placed over a blemish that has already come to a head, it absorbs fluid, keeps the area covered, and — most usefully — physically stops you touching it. Most of the damage from a breakout comes from picking, not the blemish itself.

Our invisible acne patches are thin enough to wear during the day. The day and night patch duo pairs a discreet daytime patch with a thicker overnight one.

Timing matters. Patches work on surface blemishes with a visible head. On a deep, painful bump under the skin there is nothing to draw out, and a patch will not help.

Micropoint patches for deeper spots

For blemishes that have not surfaced, micropoint spot patches use dissolving micro-tips to deliver ingredients below the surface. Apply to clean, completely dry skin and leave on at least six hours — the tips need time to dissolve.

What not to do

The instinct to attack a breakout usually makes it worse and last longer:

Do not pop it. Squeezing pushes bacteria deeper and is the main cause of the dark mark left behind.

Do not scrub. Physical scrubs on inflamed skin spread irritation and damage the barrier.

Do not dry out your whole face. Stripping every product back to harsh actives triggers more oil, not less. Treat the spot; moisturize everything else.

Do not stack actives. Salicylic acid plus benzoyl peroxide plus retinol at once is how irritation starts. One active, consistently.

Afterwards: the mark it leaves

The flat brown or red mark left behind is post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, not a scar, and it fades — slowly. Niacinamide and vitamin C support that fading, and daily SPF prevents it darkening again. Our dark spot ingredient guide covers realistic timelines. Browse face serums for brightening options and cleansers for a non-stripping base routine.

Persistent, painful, or cystic acne is worth seeing a doctor or dermatologist about — cosmetic products have real limits, and prescription treatment works far better for it.

Frequently asked questions

How long do I leave an acne patch on?

At least six hours, ideally overnight. Remove it when the patch turns opaque white, which means it has absorbed as much as it can.

Do acne patches work on cystic acne?

Not really. Hydrocolloid works on surface blemishes with a visible head. Deep cystic bumps have nothing to draw out. Micropoint patches are a better option, and persistent cystic acne is worth a doctor's input.

Can I wear acne patches under makeup?

Thin invisible patches can be worn under makeup, though applying foundation over them reduces adhesion. Clean skin gives the best result.

Will a patch stop the dark mark?

Indirectly — by stopping you picking, which is the main cause of marks. Once a mark exists, niacinamide, vitamin C and daily sunscreen help it fade.

Should I use patches on clean or moisturized skin?

Clean and completely dry. Any moisturizer, oil or serum underneath stops the patch adhering properly.
